Dianjiang Disabled People Make Hand-Made Shoes For The Wounded In The Disaster Area
Since receiving 47 disaster victims in Dianjiang, Peng Shengguo, the disabled man of Yihe Ju Committee in Xinmin Town of Dianjiang, has been busy all along: he has donated all the less than 20 yuan of his monthly insurance money to the disaster area. He also decided to hand out a pair of wool shoes for everyone injured in Sichuan earthquake stricken area.
Peng Shengguo, more than 30, is handicapped by his legs. He can only sit on a handy handicapped car every day. He lives entirely on the basis of subsistence allowances. However, he has a good skill in making wool shoes.
When he learned that everyone was giving donations to the earthquake stricken areas in Sichuan, he took out hundreds of dollars he had saved himself, and bought the wool and needles for making shoes. He spent almost seven or eight hours a day, and all of them were operated by hand.
Peng Shengguo said he felt honored to be able to do something for the wounded in the disaster area.
He will seize the time and strive to hand over 47 pairs of brand-new wool shoes to the sick hands in the disaster area this month.
