The applicant Changzhou and Da aerosol Co., Ltd. put forward the "Oscar Oscar" trademark registration application to the Trademark Office in the thirty-fifth category of sales promotion (for others) service. The United States allows a company named Oscar to register, indicating that the US government does not consider Oscar a special term.
In many countries around the world, products with "OSCAR" are trademarks.
Based on the above points, the applicant asked for reexamination and submitted relevant evidence supporting his claim.
According to the censorship, the application of the trademark "Oscar Oscar" is a well-known film award, but it has other common meanings.
The Oxford high level English Chinese dictionaries (Fourth Edition) and the new English Chinese dictionary have included the "Oscar" in the ordinary name list and the Jomi Emi name table, which are pliteration as Chinese "Oscar". At present, there is no evidence that "Oscar Oscar" will have adverse effects on the sale of trademarks for promotion (for others).
Therefore, the Commerce Commission decided to apply for the trademark, which can be preliminarily approved and announced.
