According to Chen Dongqi analysis, China's economic growth has reached a "short wave decline" since reaching 12% in the first quarter of this year. Sun Huaibin, director of the China Textile Economic Research Center, introduced the theme of the forum with a humorous opening speech - the pformation and upgrading of the textile industry in 12th Five-Year and its scientific development.

On the basis of summarizing the development achievements of China's textile industry in the 11th Five-Year, Sun Huaibin made a forward-looking analysis of the development direction and situation of the textile industry in 12th Five-Year, taking the theme of scientific development as the theme, changing the development mode as the main line, and building a strong textile power in an all-round way.

He said that "11th Five-Year" began in the post quota era and ended in the post crisis era. China's textile industry shoulders the three major historical tasks of traditional pillar industries, important livelihood industries, and industries with competitive advantages in the international market, which has made outstanding contributions to promoting the steady and healthy development of the national economy and safeguarding social stability.

In the next 5~10 years, the textile industry should pform its traditional development mode, comprehensively optimize its structure, establish a scientific and modern industrial system, and better assume the three major historical tasks. At the same time, it will further develop into a fully applied industry and fashion culture creative industry of new and high technology, enhance the industry level in an all-round way, and strive to build a strong technological country, a brand powerful country, a strong power for sustainable development and a strong talent in 2020.
