Businessmen are under the pressure of shortage of leather supplies.

Because of high demand and limited supply of leather, many leather manufacturers in Turkey tend to import leather jackets from countries such as India and Pakistan.

"Leather manufacturers all over the world are facing the pressure of shortage of leather supply."

Recently, Y cel Yilmaz, chairman of the Executive Board of Kuzu, a leading leather clothing manufacturer in Turkey, said in an interview with Hu Lee Pieter.

"In 1960s, Turkey's leather exports began to grow rapidly. At that time there were 500 thousand sheep and goats. However, although the population of the world has increased significantly, the number of sheep and goats has not changed."

Yilmaz says.

Leather and leather are also used in many areas, including cars and furniture.

Nowadays, many high-end cars provide customized services for leather seats for customers who are willing to spend more money.

Because of high demand and limited supply of leather, many leather manufacturers in Turkey tend to import leather jackets from countries such as India and Pakistan, because they have a large number of goats and sheep, so they have relative comparative advantages.

Last year, wholesalers in Turkey imported 500 thousand leather jackets from Pakistan and India.

It is too easy for wholesalers to tear down the label and label the "made in Turkey". Although these products do not have the same quality, this behavior has damaged the leather industry in Turkey.

Y u cel Yilmaz says.

Y cel Yilmaz is working hard to urge the government to introduce a policy to protect the leather industry, because it is a labor-intensive industry that absorbs employment.

He believes that although the quality of leather products in Turkey is not comparable to that of Italy, it still has very high quality, because Turkey has extremely advanced equipment, and many leather experts from Italy and Greece work in the leather industry of Turkey.
