The reporter learned from the Organizing Committee of the Ninth China (Qinghai) Tibetan carpet international exhibition that during the 4 day exhibition, the turnover of various carpets and Tapestries reached US $83 million, an increase of 16.9% over the previous session.

Wang Xihui, executive vice president and President of Qinghai provincial council for promoting trade, said that after eight years of development, the exhibition scale has expanded year by year, and its professional features are becoming more and more significant. The exhibition level has become more and more high. It has developed into the most distinctive and internationally renowned professional exhibition in China. It has become one of the important windows of Qinghai's opening up to the outside world, promoting international exchanges and cooperation, and promoting Qinghai.

The varieties are more complete than in previous years. Among them, about 70 tons of samples are imported from abroad, and the number of domestic exhibitors is about 150 tons, more than doubled from the previous one, covering the domestic and foreign manual wool sheep blanket and woollen woven carpet, especially wool, cashmere, silk, nap and camel wool. The number of high quality manual blankets and high-grade hand made art tapestries has been greatly increased, and innovative products have springing up. The new products will be unveiled for the first time with the digital inkjet printing carpet, natural material bamboo and linen carpet, fiber optic conductive heating carpet and so on.

Wang Xihui said the Tibetan carpet exhibition was further improved in terms of nationalization and marketization.

World handcraft

Major producers such as India, Iran, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan and other countries have organized exhibitors in various carpet business associations, changing the original and scattered participation forms of foreign exhibitors.

The domestic carpet industry organizations, the China Federation of Commerce and the provincial and municipal commercial departments have organized associations, regions and large purchasers, exhibitors and exhibitors.

It is reported that during the "12th Five-Year" period, the development of Tibetan carpet industry in Qinghai will focus on the development of Xining's big white hair. We should make full use of the wool resources in the surrounding provinces and build a Tibetan carpet industry cluster with the core of Tibetan blankets, including "wool scouring, carding, weaving, dyeing, weaving and blanking" and "washing, carding, worsted weaving". We should speed up the internationalization of the Tibetan carpet industry and build an international carpet carpet centered on Qinghai Province, which radiate the surrounding provinces and Central Asia, and collect carpet research and development, processing, exhibition and raw materials trading.
