This year's export market is going up and down.

Following the implementation of the ROHS chemicals registration system in June 1st, the EU formally implemented the PFOS restriction directive in June 27th.

Compared with ROHS, the scope of this directive is more specific, and its influence is directly related to China's textile and garment industry.

Because PFOS has the widest range of clothing and fabrics in the textile industry, any fabric that needs printing and dyeing and finishing must be washed before processing. This process may contain PFOS.

In addition, additives such as UV, antibacterial and other functional finishing may also contain PFOS.

Textile and clothing is the pillar industry that Shishi plays a leading role. This new green barrier should not be belittled and should be actively dealt with.

The Jedi counter test tests thousands of garment enterprises in Shishi, a large number of products are exported to the European Union. After the PFOS restriction directive is implemented, the garments exported to the EU do not meet the relevant requirements.

Dyeing and finishing industry is an important part of Shishi textile and garment industry chain. More than 60 dyeing, finishing and washing enterprises may contain more or less PFOS; although Shishi's leather enterprises only have four or five, but there are many export footwear and clothing to meet the PFOS prohibition standard requirements, dyeing and finishing and leather production enterprises all need to use environment-friendly textile auxiliaries, at the same time, they also need to pay the necessary testing costs.

All these will increase the difficulty and cost of production.

"Before that, the dye has increased by four or five times. After the implementation of this directive, the dye will definitely go up, which directly leads to a higher production cost.

Shishi most dyeing and finishing enterprises will not be able to bear it.

Yesterday, Su Su, a dyeing and finishing enterprise in Hongshan, was so nagging.

Since the beginning of this year, the price of dyestuffs per kilogram has risen from $16 to 68 yuan, plus coal prices and labor prices continue to rise. Many dyeing and finishing enterprises have temporarily closed their customers, and some have barely managed to maintain their "good looks".

At present, most related enterprises have not paid enough attention to the PFOS directive. Some even do not know whether the PFOS components are included in their products, which may lead to cloth failing to meet the standards and make some european garments rejected.

Some enterprises may choose to escape, and the higher threshold is to choose "low".

But when people go up high, they dare not "attack the developed countries directly".

Industry self-regulation promotes high quality and high price. "What's worrying is that Shishi dyeing and finishing industry is still competing for price competition."

After the instruction of PFOS, Wang Qingyuan, vice president of Shishi dyeing and finishing Association, revealed many worries.

Because the current situation of local dyeing and finishing industry is that some enterprises are not trying to improve their quality to win by quality, but to compete for customers with abnormal pressure and low prices, so that enterprises that want to "go forward" are powerless.

He believes that the only way to deal with this directive is high quality and high price. Shishi dyeing and finishing enterprises should increase the added value by improving the quality standards, strengthen self-discipline in the industry, and resolutely resist low price competition, which seriously disrupts the market and jeopardize the development of the whole industry.

Shishi Foreign Economic Department said that Shishi is mainly small and medium-sized enterprises. It is impossible to carry out R & D and production of PFOS substitute products, but it should also actively adopt environment-friendly auxiliaries in line with the PFOS ban standard, and rationally select suppliers to take the initiative to deal with them.

At the same time, we should communicate with EU customers as soon as possible and intensify the selection, testing and application of alternative products, so as to reduce the losses caused by the implementation of the directive.

Export enterprises should also make more efforts in information collection, production link management and related standards setting, and establish corresponding technical standards. At the same time, they should continuously improve their environmental performance. In the production process, they should not only pay attention to material selection, ensure product quality, but also enhance awareness of environmental protection and health, keep up with the needs of the situation and market development, strive to improve themselves, and strive for new market space in their promotion.
