Vietnamese Clothing Raw Materials Are Very Dependent On Imports.
Statistics from Vietnam's Ministry of industry and trade show that in the first 9 months of 2013, the export volume of textile and clothing industry was $13 billion 154 million, an increase of 18% over the same period last year. The United States, the European Union, Japan and South Korea are the major importers of textiles and clothing in Vietnam, accounting for 49%, 15%, 12% and 9% of Vietnam's total exports, respectively. < /p >
However, Vietnamese textile and garment enterprises have to compete with other producers in raw material procurement. Raw materials suppliers are raising the price by 10% to 15% when raw materials are in short supply, which will affect Vietnam's winning more orders for foreign trade clothing. < /p >
At present, Vietnam's textile and garment industry is very dependent on imported raw materials. P Vietnam's local raw material supply can only meet 48% of the demand, while only the national textile and clothing association (Vinatex) member enterprises demand 54%. < /p >
< p > trans Pacific (601099, stock bar) partnership agreement (TPP) will be formally signed in 2014. Vietnamese enterprises will enjoy preferential tariff treatment stipulated in the TTP agreement, when Vietnamese clothing orders will increase, which means that Vietnamese enterprises should produce more raw materials themselves besides making finished garments. < /p >
< p > Vietnam National Textile Association encourages Member enterprises and foreign direct investment enterprises (FDI) to increase investment in < a target= "_blank" href= "//www.sjfzxm.com/" > fabric > /a and fabric production, so as to create a complete material supply chain. < /p >
In the first half of this year, Vietnam launched 46 large-scale projects with a total investment of 6 trillion and 144 billion Dong Dong. After the completion of these projects, most of the projects will be used to produce textile raw materials. P < /p >
< p > in order to improve the localization supply of raw materials for clothing, the Vietnamese government encourages foreign-invested enterprises to invest in production of clothing raw materials in Vietnam. With the signing of the TTP agreement in Vietnam, the clothing and textile raw materials industry will be greatly benefiting. < /p >
