Fashion

Bill Gibb and his works are like the rare roses of the mysterious garden. They are pure, beautiful, and beautiful.

At the end of the weekend, it turned over a European fashion magazine, and a short article was like a casual review of a fashion history, with Bill Gibb, the most influential fashion designer in the 70s of the UK.

The picture grabbed my eyeballs first. Oh, Tina Chow at the young age (Yi Shu's beautiful and unattractive Zhou Tianna) inserted flowers in the head, with a plucent ruffled robe sideways, laughing, and half naked shoulders trumpet sleeves falling slightly, just like the lily of the valley.

In another photo, a blonde, wearing a milky white lace and lotus leaf dress, sits on the gilded classical embroidery sofa, behind which is a huge tropical palm forest painting, like angel in the Paradise Park.

Bill Gibb is not a great master.

He is not as wild and rebellious as Vivienne Westwood of the same era, nor as popular as Ossie Clarke or BIBA. He is the inspiration source of today's famous designer John Galliano, Giles Deacon, Christopher Bailey and so on.

Born in Scotland, graduated from Saint Martin and Royal College of Art in London.

The golden age of Bill Gibb in 70s of last century and the design review of the Royal Albert hall in London in 1977 of the first time were not two. His fashion business has been wobble, until falling into bloom in the prosperous years (died of cancer in 1988), but he is a free soul in that unique era.

In the past, the Empire of Britain had a strong feeling for the mystical alien culture (such as China and India).

In the meantime, Bill Gibb has always loved collage technology, tapestry pattern knitting, flower animal embroidery and so on. He has also integrated the endless imagination and dramatic conflict.

He and his works are like the rare roses of the secret garden, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, and Arabian Nights, and finally opened to tea.

In search of Internet, he has few data and pictures, but he can still see the bright of that era and designer himself.

A long sleeved long flowered skirt, full of tropical flowers, gloomy, with vitality, neckline and skirt, and other details are extremely soft.

Another Ivory robe, the style of wrap dress (wrapped skirt), the waist line and sleeve design of emperor era, the red silk tapes, and the left chest and cuffs are flying a few brands of yellow bees, which are symbolic.

Any one of them is like a surprising treasure in Portobello Market (London's famous open-air second-hand market); in fact, in the Rellik of an old antique dress shop near Golborne Road, you may have seen the true body of Bill Gibb works.

After a thousand turns, the fashion pointer is back to 70s: Bohemian romance, hippy casual, lotus leaf, printing, fringes, bell bottoms and other fashionable elements, smooth lines, loose profiles, elegant and extremely pendant fabrics.

2008 spring and summer fashion stage, full of art and exotic style of 70s, a new look.

The autumn and winter of this year will bring back the gorgeous velvet of the years. The famous V&A Museum in London will publish a book entitled "Bill Gibb: Fashion & Fantasy", which commemorative the Bill Gibb. It was prefaced by supermodel Twiggy in 70s.

The Museum of fashion textiles in London (established by the famous fashion designer Zandra Rhodes) will also hold a retrospective exhibition of Bath's Fashion Museum.
