The Value Of Retail Sales Of Clothing In Hongkong Increased By 3.7% In May.

It was mainly caused by a significant decline in sales of jewellery, watches and clocks and precious gifts. It is believed that the consumption of some of the major expensive items of visitors in Hong Kong has declined in a relatively high base compared to May last year. However, many other sales of goods which are more closely related to local consumption continue to grow year by year, reflecting the positive desire for local consumption under universal employment.
