British High Street Fashion Brand Originator Biba Design Quality

According to reports, the British boutique chain corporation House of Fraser bought the 1960s logo brand Biba in 2009, and recently announced that it would return to Biba's original designer Barbara Hulanicki.

Founded in London in 1960s, Biba is one of the world's first lifestyle brands and an important landscape in London's rock and roll fashion.

In the 70s of the last century, Barbara Hulanicki's High Street Boutique Biba was the second largest attraction in London. A group of crazy girls usually only appeared in two places: Beatles concert or weekend Biba fashion shop, where the fashionable costumes cost only a few pounds per item.

In London Fashion Week 2006, British model Lily Cole showed up for Biba.

Now, on the occasion of Biba celebrating its 50 year birthday, the brand creator Barbara Hulanicki will once again return to the brand as a creative consultant and take charge of a series of new products to be launched next month.

"She is very experienced, enthusiastic about retail sales, and has a special creative talent, which will surely add to our existing success."

The first project of Hulanicki will be to re enact some classic classics of Biba with the current Biba team as the limited edition of autumn and winter 2015.

Biba created the high street fashion trend of popularity and was taken up by Topshop and other rising stars. In 2009, Topshop also invited Hulanicki to design the Biba for Topshop series.

It is worth mentioning that, as the owner of the Biba brand, the old British department store HOF has also changed its main theme: in April of this year, the Nanjing A stock company listed on the Shanghai stock exchange acquired the HOF 89% stake in the new 100 billion, and became the controlling shareholder.
