Fujian Has Maintained Steady Growth In ASEAN Trade.

Since this year, Fujian has maintained steady growth in ASEAN trade.

According to statistics, in the 1-5 month of this year, Fujian's imports and exports to ASEAN were 66 billion 390 million yuan, an increase of 14.8% over the same period last year, of which 48 billion 240 million yuan was exported, a 22.7% increase, and imports of 18 billion 150 million yuan, a decrease of 1.8%.

In May, the trade value of the single month reached 15 billion 190 million yuan, a sharp increase of 25.4% over the same period last year, the highest since 2015, of which 11 billion 10 million yuan was exported, a sharp increase of 29%, and imports of 4 billion 180 million yuan, an increase of 16.7%.

Data show that labor-intensive products, electromechanical products and agricultural products are Fujian's main export commodities to ASEAN.

6 types of labor-intensive products, including bags, furniture, plastic products and toys, increased by 16 billion 630 million yuan, an increase of 31.6%; the export of electromechanical products increased by 12 billion 140 million yuan, an increase of 8%; the export of agricultural products was 7 billion 910 million yuan, an increase of 4.3%; the total three of the total accounted for 76% of the total export value of Fujian to ASEAN in the same period.

Imports are mainly electromechanical products and agricultural products.

In 1~5 months, Fujian imported electromechanical products from ASEAN 6 billion 790 million yuan, an increase of 19.7%, of which 3 billion 260 million yuan of imports integrated circuit, an increase of 17.8%; imports of agricultural products 1 billion 940 million yuan, a decrease of 0.2%; the two total accounted for 55.4% of Fujian's total imports from ASEAN.

According to the analysis, with the successful upgrading of China ASEAN Free Trade Area and the vigorous development of the "one belt and one way" construction, the economic and trade exchanges between Fujian and ASEAN will continue to heat up. It is suggested that relevant enterprises seize opportunities, strengthen market segmentation, cultivate core independent intellectual property rights, and create new competitive advantages.
