Output Of Global Organic Cotton Increased By 56%, Reaching The Highest Level In Eight Years.

November 18th, according to foreign exchange reports, according to the Textile Exchange 2019 organic cotton market report, global organic cotton production has increased 56%, reaching the highest level in eight years.
 
The report showed that the output of organic cotton reached 180971 tons in 2017/2018, even though it accounted for only 0.7% of the total cotton output in the world.
 
India, China and Kyrgyzstan are the biggest contributors to the growth of organic cotton production, and the output of organic cotton in these three countries will continue to grow.
 
The number of facilities approved by voluntary organic standards is also increasing, and the number of facilities has been increased by 15% and 16% respectively through the global organic textile standard certification and the organic content standard certification of textile exchange.
 
19 countries in the world have grown organic cotton, and the organic cotton market report shows that 98% of the output comes from the following seven countries: India (47%), China (21%), Kyrgyzstan (12%), Turkey (6%), Tajikistan (5%), United States (3%) and Tanzania (3%).
 
Organic cotton now accounts for 0.7% of the world's total cotton output. In 2017/2018, the total area of organic cotton cultivation is 356131 hectares, and the other 44394 hectares are being transformed into organic cotton.
